the techniques needed to capture all the beautiful images of rustic architecture, extreme landscapes, lively marketplaces, colourful culture and dancing, and unique wildlife.

Concentrated in the northern half of the country, the tour will fly to various destinations so
there's more time to take photos with impact. Highlights of the journey include:
- The lively capital Addis Ababa
Bahar Dar -- Blue Nile Falls and Ancient monestaries on Lake Tana
Lalibela's rock-hewn churches
Gelada baboons near Gondar
Simien Mountains & Gondar Castle
The arid Tigrray area bordering Eritrea
and Harar's old city, Muslim markets and feeding
of the hyenas.

Valerie will instruct on camera fundamentals, and elaborate on the techniques key to getting the
photos you want. For example, dancers in difficult lighting, creative techniques for spectacular water falls, and the interiors of monasteries and churches. Capure the vitality of the markets and the
esoteric wildlife in its habitat.
The tour is open to photographic enthusiasts with or without experience, and all photos will be
critiqued.
